What people are saying about JT Harper’s Books

From Writer’s Digest Competition Review:

“There's a lot to love about PHOENIX FLOWER and the creativity that J.T. Harper puts on display. He's an obviously talented writer and did a fantastic job formulating this premise.

To move into the 23rd century was a bold, daring risk. For a while, I was a little unsure it paid off and thought it might have been better to have placed the story in a timeless setting, but by the end I was glad that he took the chance. From a craft standpoint, this narrative is a success mainly because of how engaging Tess and Esperanza are, and they continue to become more and more fascinating as the novel moves forward.”

Meet JT:

JT Harper learned the art of imagination as a child, and refined it as an author.

Like so many kids through the ages, JT Harper experienced loneliness from an early age. The second-born of 6 children growing up in a single-parent home, he moved from state to state, living in 8 different homes, attended 10 different schools by the time he was a teenager.

With no opportunity to develop any close friends, and a family that he might describe as 6 different kids trying to get along while Mom worked night and day to provide food and shelter, J.T. found comfort in his imagination. He learned to imagine places, people, and situations that gave him an escape from the real-world, if only a moment at a time.

As an adult, after a stint in the corporate world writing nonfiction for major technology companies, he felt drawn to his first love of writing: fiction. Harper studied and taught writing in various colleges, earning advanced degrees specializing in Creative Fiction.
